In 2022, WWTFA created a packet that was designed to help our schools better understand the vaping epidemic and how they can help address this issue with their students. This packet is an all encompassing resource guide that provides schools with and overview of prevention and intervention curriculum, equitable tobacco-free school policies, and additional resources on what they need to know when talking to their students. .

The Truth Initiative Vaping: Know the Truth curriculum is a national youth vaping prevention course designed to educate students about the dangers of e-cigarette use. In addition to encouraging students to live vape-free lives, this course offers resources to help young people who are currently using e-cigarettes to quit through Truth Initiative’s first-of-its-kind text message quit vaping program This is Quitting, which is already helping over 600,000 youth and young adults on their journeys to quit.
Truth Initiative Youth Vaping Prevention
SmokeSCREEN is a collaboration between play2PREVENT Lab, NIH/FDA-funded Yale and USC Tobacco Centers of Regulatory Science (TCORS), 1st Playable Productions, Schell Games this project expanded on earlier development and evaluation of the videogame intervention. SmokeSCREEN addresses the range of challenges that young teens face, with a dedicated focus on youth decision-making about smoking and vaping (conventional cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, flavored tobacco products), and includes strategies for both smoking prevention and cessation. smokeSCREEN is developed for ages 10-16.
